I hope everyone is healthy and enjoying these holidays. I decided to put up our tree, which has added much needed cheer to our house, as we await Daniel & Lauren’s visit.
As mentioned in an earlier post, Kim has reached a ‘stable’ stage which, according to his oncologist and hospice nurse practitioner, is what happens to patients who are in blood remission from Acute Myeloid Leukemia. However, they’ve warned me to not be surprised if one day, out of the blue, his health takes a sudden and sharp dive.
It is this thought that prompts me to greet him every morning with a smile and a burst of energy, as I remind him that it is a new day to enjoy and be grateful for.
I wish you all a wonderful time these holidays, with the people in your lives that matter the most to you.
