Daniel and 3 of his pilot instructor colleagues were chosen to fly the T-1 from Columbus, MS to Andrews AFB in DC. It was a great opportunity for him to visit with Kim a few times and for me to spend time with him. We toured the air show on Sunday. It is great to be able to do ‘normal’ things like having Daniel’s colleagues over for dinner last night.

It was such a nice break! Daniel was also awesome, staying with me Saturday and Sunday night. We toured the air show together when he had the day off. On Sunday night I invited his pilot buddies over for dinner – it felt so ‘normal’ to have guests in my house again. On Monday morning I drive Daniel to the Base to get on his plane and fly back. He just realized that his company was very healing for me, and it was !

No, he flies the T-1, a smaller jet plane used to teaching his students.
