James Stewart Cunningham III

February 1, 1947 – January 15, 2025

My life could not have been richer, more adventurous, or more wonderful than with you. Thank you for being such a great teacher and mentor 46 years ago. Thank you for 29 years of unwavering love. Thank you for our son Daniel. You will forever remain in my heart.

——————————————————————

When you die a part of my soul will die with you!

It will fly up to the sky with your soul to shepherd you to eternity

And it will cover you with love and continue to protect you along the way.

When you die, I will sow seeds of love in the earth of my soul that will die with you!

So that beautiful flowers of hope can germinate and forever blossom

To uplift me through the remaining years I am alive

To remind me of your gentle soul, of your immense kindness, of your beautiful spirit, and of the eternal love we have for each other.

Dedicated to my husband of 29 years. July 21, 2024

    1. Kristina,
In the last years we have become closer friends, I have deeply appreciated all your advice as a friend, a former nurse, a wife of a wonderful husband you cared for so deeply until hi exited this earth. You have been my role model on how to grieve while living with joy. Thank you!

  6. Knowing Kim since 1963, meeting him in Montevideo, Uruguay, becoming close friends at The British School and in college, both serving in the military, visiting throughout the years, discovering years later we were distant cousins — what an incredible honor to have shared life on this earth with my true friend. What a blessing. – John

    1. Indeed, John, you were his lifelong friend! Just talking about you would make him smile. In the two times we were able to be with you and Katie, you both seemed so happy and I could see that unbreakable bond of true, loving, caring friendship.

Thank you for your messages and for always being there for him.

Querida Maria Eugenia, Preciosa dedicatoria.

Isabel

  8. Oh, Maria . We are so sad to read of Kim’s passing. 🥺 You have been a loving and steadfast partner, caregiver and advocate for oh so many years. The best!!! May your lifelong memories bring you comfort and even joy during this difficult time. He is free from his worldly bonds and compromised body. He is with God now. Prayers for you, Daniel and Lauren.
