Our dear old neighbors Tip & Marsha who brought cheer with wonderful memories from the past; missing are pictures of dear friends Julie, who bravely stayed with Kim for 3 hours while I went to the gym to decompress; and Cindy who was also brave to try to stroll Kim in his wheelchair chair around our neighborhood ❤️
It is SO true that during times of distress, the messages, calls, and visits from caring friends really lighten one’s load.
This weekend I have felt, for the first time in the nearly 2 weeks that Kim has been home. that I’m coming out from a tunnel where I did not know the day or time of the day at any given time. Scheduling and finding good caregivers continue to be a problem. However, the best Aid that Kim had at the skilled nursing facility took care in him on Friday and will today, and she’s just fantastic! Kim and I really like her. This gives me peace of mind and hope while I search for better options for both of us.
