Getting into our car

On Monday when I went to view the physical therapy session Kim receives from Monday-Thursday, I asked the therapist when/how he might be able to get into our car? She quickly said: “let’s try it!” It was a rainy, gloomy day but that did not matter. I was very happy to think that he might be able to get into the passenger seat with some assistance, and he did! I am now in the process of getting him a “leave of absence” from the facility so that I can take him out on car drives, something he has always enjoyed. The main issue now is that he thinks I am taking him home every time I go to see him (which is twice a day) and he quickly asks me to help him onto the wheel chair to take him home :=(.

Very exciting! I am super impressed with the progress that Kim has made and admire your dedication Maria to ensuring Kim gets the best care possible. Now that he’s mobile, Alex and I will have to break him out of their for an adventure! 🙂 XXOOXX
