The USA is again hiring nurses and healthcare personnel from other countries because of the current and incredible shortages we are facing. Many healthcare workers are overworked, underpaid, and not thanked for their work.

We are experiencing this where Kim is mainly among nurse aids who really carry the bulk of the patient care. For the most part, they have a really good attitude but are very stressed out all the time and are doing the ‘minimum’ required for their patients — changing diapers after patients wait for a while and cleaning them ( bathing) only if time allows, 2 times a week at night and if when patients agree.

This is why I visit Kim at least twice a day ( during the day and at bed time) to help perform duties that are falling through the cracks.
