
They just placed a feeding tube down his nose into the stomach
After the speech therapists performed a few swallowing tests since he took a dive for the worse, Kim continued to not be able to sustain his attention long enough and required many verbal prompts to swallow. When he did swallow, it was rather difficult for him to do it.
So, this evening the nurses installed a nasal feeding tube so that he can have the nutrition he needs. He can also get medications he needs thorough it. Unfortunately, they had to put mittens on his hands so that he does not pull the tube out.
He’s a lot more alert today, sounds better, but continues to demand that I take him home. He’s yet not fully aware of his condition.
