A researcher-caregiver’s quest for information and a better life for her husband diagnosed with Acute Myeloid leukemia after long 9 years of dealing with a TBI
The nurse assigned to him today is wonderful! When I told her that he wanted to be taken to the ‘library around the corner, down the hallway’ she asked him if he wanted to go down for a tour. She took him around the floor and has now parked him I front of his room. She said that he’s a sweet man, while gently rubbing his head.
This is what makes a great nurse – not just about treating the patient with the medical eres but offering care in a loving way. This is the kind of stimulation he needs.
My Mom was that kind of nurse.
Warms my heart to hear that Kim is getting competent care from caring professionals.

Yes, the personal touch is what matters the most in health care; when the patient feels heard and understood. So glad that Kim is blessed with such caring medical staff.
